Hyundai is once again proving its penchant for game-changing innovation, this time by partnering with the Israeli medical technology company, MDGo. Initially, it may seem odd that an automaker and a med-tech company are partnering up. However, Hyundai and MDGo are collaborating to make artificial-intelligence technology that could save the lives of passengers and drivers.
Their mutual technology aims to detect and assess injuries from vehicle crashes. The AI algorithm could then send this data to emergency first responders for quicker and potentially lifesaving care. How this all works is that the technology would utilize a system of sensors situated throughout the vehicle and observe the vehicle occupants’ medical conditions to create an immediate health status report, in the event of a crash. Within seconds, the system would then deliver this report to medical responders, who could arrive at the scene already armed with the knowledge of injury severity, allowing for more effective assistance.
The AI would continuously become more knowledgeable about crashes and injuries so it could more effectively transmit information to hospitals over time. Hyundai could also make their vehicles safer, thanks to the AI system’s data.
We at Linwood Hyundai believe vehicle safety is very important, which is why we’re excited for this new AI technology. Schedule an appointment with our service department for any necessary maintenance to help protect you on the road.

At the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show held this past November, Hyundai showed off its new flagship SUV, called the Hyundai Palisade. The debut of the Hyundai Palisade shows that Hyundai is moving into new territory with its biggest and most impressive SUV yet.
The Palisade will come standard with three rows of spacious seating and will offer a variety of family-friendly technology like a 10-inch navigation display, seven USB outlets, wireless charging, roof-based diffuser vents, and power third-row seats.
