New Hyundai Tech Caters to EV Owners

Hyundai Ioniq

Hyundai is at the forefront of electric vehicle tech, as evidenced by its latest smart features.

The latest function of its smartphone app allows EV owners to control performance settings via their phone. The app lets users tweak performance aspects like acceleration, deceleration, responsiveness, ignition, and maximum torque. It also lets users fine-tune energy-related settings such as the vehicle’s climate control energy use and regenerative braking capacity.

This added tool will let Hyundai drivers optimize performance based on trip length and how much energy they’ll need along a certain route. Per The News Wheel, the brand also plans to enhance the tool so it provides the user with recommended settings for certain terrain and weather conditions.

Hyundai will use blockchain technology to encrypt sensitive information. Drivers will have the freedom to create custom profiles and save their preferences to a server and access them in different Hyundai vehicles without worrying about cybersecurity breaches.

This new Hyundai tech comes as no surprise considering the brand’s focus on progressive technologies and enhancing its EV models. It hopes to deploy 23 electric models by 2025.

Capable, Rugged, and Affordable: The Hyundai Kona Design

Hyundai Kona

We couldn’t be more excited for the 2018 Hyundai Kona, an exciting new compact crossover. The Kona has distinct interior and exterior designs, an eco-friendly powertrain, and the latest technologies on the market. Built for the urban jungle as well as off-road trails, the revolutionary Hyundai Kona design is bound to impress a wide range of buyers.

According to Motor1, the Kona has much more personality than the slew of other compact crossovers that have hit the market recently, due in large part to the exterior and interior designs. There’s a distinct body look with black plastic cladding, multi-tiered lighting, and a so-called “rip-curl” C-pillar—a look that will especially appeal to a younger audience. Many unique paint colors are available to color the Kona in vivid ways.

The Kona seats five people, has up to 45 cubic feet of storage space with the seats down, and still offers 19.2 cubic feet of cargo room with the seats up.

Other great features on this model include the rugged versatility, low price, and optional all-wheel drive. The seven-speed dual clutch transmission will have no trouble handling high elevation, while the all-wheel-drive system can easily handle the terrain around Paducah, Benton, and Calvert City.

In short, if you’re looking for a capable crossover with all-around versatility, the Kona will satisfy your driving needs. You can find it at Linwood Hyundai.
